This Nonrefundable fee provides on-line access to AAOS Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured – 13th edition.  

Items due at registration:

Payment for book access fee is due at time of registration via Cash, Check or Money Order or Zelle to: EMT Somerset LLC.

Items due at orientation:

Payment for tuition is due at orientation or student must present a properly completed EMT Training Fund form -including a digital signature.

If a student fails to complete the course, REFUNDS will not be issued.

Prerequisites: You must be 16 years of age or older at time of registration.  You must have a current Healthcare Provider/Professional Level CPR care for entry from either American Heart Association (AHA or ASHI).

EMT Training Fund accepted for eligible organizations.

  • All training fund forms MUST be signed with a digital signature, and your digital signature must show the date of your signature.

EMT Somerset LLC

All Students must:

  1. Be able to perform the physical and mental requirements as stipulated in Functional Position Description for Emergency Medical Technician. – https://www.fema.gov/sites/default/files/documents/fema_nims_emergency-medical-technician_102023.pdf.
  2. Be able to hear, read, write, communicate, and interpret instructions in the English language (All text materials are written at the 10th grade level).
  3. Be 16 years of age or older and in good physical condition and be able to lift.
  4. Have access to a computer with internet.  This course will require you to participate in on-line assignments.
  5. Be able to participate in all sessions required by NJSA 8:40A-5.3 – stating all students must attend all sessions in their entirety.  Any absence must be made prior to the state final certification exam.  A maximum of three absences is permitted in this program.  Due to the intense nature of this program, make up sessions will be extremely difficult to schedule.
  6. Students will be required to have a stethoscope, a wristwatch with a second hand, notebook, and pen/pencil in their possession. 
  7. Students shall dress appropriately and modestly for all class sessions.  Class scenarios are conducted inside and outside of the classroom.  Students should be prepared to work outside in the elements. 
  8. As a student at EMT Somerset LLC, you will be required to participate in 10 hours of clinical observation at a local hospital.
  9. Prospective students must contact the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services at 609-633-7777 regarding any past criminal matter to determine eligibility to become an EMT. This includes but is not limited to arrests, dismissals, convictions, and expungements.
