The Original Somerset Count EMT Course

EMT Somerset is the original Somerset County EMT Course, started in conjunction with Somerset Medical Center and Somerset County College (now Raritan Valley Community College) in 1975. We continue our affiliation with RWJ Somerset Medical Center, but have had to relocate several times, from the original site, to the college, to SCTI and now we are located at Liberty Corner First Aid Squad, as our primary site. Each time the move was necessitated by space accommodations. Throughout all these moves we have continued with our same core of dedicated professional instructors, complemented with former students, who are now instructors.

Our commitment is to provide quality hands-on teaching.  We have 9 well qualified instructors, all actively riding in NJ. An EMT Basic and a Core Refresher is conducted annually. Instructors are available to conduct EMT Basic Courses, Core, or non-core CEU courses at your site.

We are authorized to accept NJ EMS training funds for eligible courses as well as payment for non-affiliated applicants. All necessary forms and a syllabus for current programs are available upon request.
